Masjid-al-Haram, Makkah and Masjid-e-Nabvi, Madina are the 1st and 2nd largest Masajid in the world. With respect to their sanctity, no masjid can be holier than these Holy Masajid. After these Holy Masajid, the third holiest masjid is Masjid-e-Aqsa which is located in Jerusalem. All these holy masajids have special reputation due to their histories and people faiths. Insha’Allah Pakistan will have the third largest masjid of the world which is under construction in Bahria Town Karachi. The masjid will have the capacity to accommodate 800,000 namazis at a time.
The Bahria Town Mosque of Karachi is being designed with Islamic and Mughal style architecture and draws inspiration from the masajid in Turkey, Malaysia, Iran, UAE, and Kuwait. It has a state-of-the-art Islamic Research Centre, Islamic Museum, Islamic Cultural Centre and an International University. It also features a state-of-the-art thermal powerhouse, best air-conditioning, and water supply systems. All these systems are best to facilitate the namazis in every season. The Grand Jamia Masjid that was recently inaugurated in Bahria Town Lahore has the capacity to accommodate 70,000 namazis, making it the world’s 7th largest masjid, and an indoor capacity of 25,000, officially labeling it Pakistan’s largest.
Bahria Town is also proud to have constructed masajids in all of its sectors/ projects, which are exemplary pieces of Islamic art and architecture. The area of Bahria Town Mosque selected on the top of a hill is about fifty acres. The height of the hill is also 60 ft. this top area was selected to make the masjid visible from far of distances. The construction of a single minaret is also on its way. The planed height of this minaret is about 99 meter. The arc shaped walls will be built on every side to cover the surrounded gardens of the masjid.
This masjid will increase the reputation of Pakistan in the whole Islamic world. Everyone will surely like to visit this masjid for once in his life due to its beautiful structure and world rank. The Bahria Town Mosque of Karachi will also have some large and small domes at different locations. Some small minarets are also planned to make the masjid more wonderful and pleasant.
